THE HISTORY OF DESIGN, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY: TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Аbstract
The transition of Russian design high school into bachelorhood gave reduction of lecture time for all disciplines, even the History of Design, which is difficult to cut down. The author publishes his rational scheme of the history of design and some his methods of education and upbringing of designers using in Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Russia. The paper contains the original task for students to analyze any great design cultural models in aspect of the Gottfried Semper’s definition of the category “style” (style is the expression of work’s main idea and of all factors …). Also two examples of the student’s works and four ones of author’s illustrations for lectures are shown.
