COMPETENCE FORMATION IN A NEW EDUCATIONAL COURSE "BASICS OF GEOMETRICAL MODELING IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING "

Аbstract

Based on the experience of teaching a similar course to school students, the conclusion that opportunity of development the spatial imagination in the lack of drawing skills was made. There were presented the methods of spatial representation formation with using the CAD module of the ADEM system, libraries of parametric models of basic form elements and full-scale samples. The ability to model complex spatial objects using various methods is formed on the basis of mastering the techniques of constructing flat and spatial curves and typical functions of the CAD module in the process of solving practical problems. Getting the competence of formation the drawings of 3D models and their design in accordance with the requirements of ESKD standards is realised independently while performing individual tasks
