Аbstract
The questions of the firstyear students ' use of automated methods for obtaining drawings and models of parts of General machine-building application in the Compass-3D system are considered. It is determined that the correct combination of 2D and 3D design methods contributes to the understanding of the features of the manufacture of parts, their structural and technological elements.
