COMPARISON OF METHODS OF DEVELOPING GEOMETRY AFTER TOPOLOGICAL OPTIMIZATION IN A PACKAGE FOR OPTIMIZATION AND THIRD PARTY PACKAGES

Аbstract

In order to meet the numerous requirements imposed on the reliability and quality of their products, leading companies at various design stages increasingly use topological optimization tools. Since, after topological optimization, the surface of the body does not turn out to be smooth, but consists of the edges of the grid elements that remain after optimization, it needs to be improved by any means. The paper reviews and analyzes the methods of geometric refinement of the finite element model obtained as a result of topological optimization. It also provides a comparison of the refinement methods implemented in the optimization package with the refinement methods implemented in other packages.
